THE MUSE EDIT

Consignment & Buy-Out Agreement

This agreement outlines the terms under which The Muse Edit (“Muse”, “we”, “us”) will consign or purchase your luxury item (“Item”) on your behalf.

By proceeding, you (“Consignor”, “Seller”, “you”) confirm your agreement to the following terms:

1. Ownership & Authenticity

You confirm that:

• You are the legal owner of the Item
• The Item is 100% authentic
• The Item is not stolen, disputed, or subject to finance
• You have full legal right to sell or consign the Item

Providing false or misleading information may result in termination of this agreement and recovery of losses.

2. Authentication

All items undergo a multi-step authentication process combining advanced technology and expert review.

If an item is found to be inauthentic:

• The process will cease immediately
• The item may be returned at your expense
• Any paid amounts may be recovered

Muse reserves the right to refuse any item at its discretion.

3. Consignment vs Buy-Out

Consignment

• Ownership remains with you until the item sells
• Muse will list and market the item on your behalf
• You will receive payment once the item sells and funds clear

Buy-Out

• Muse purchases the item outright
• Ownership transfers to Muse once payment is issued
• You waive any future claims to the item

The option selected will be confirmed in writing via email.

4. Pricing & Commission

• Muse will recommend pricing based on market value
• Commission and fees will be disclosed before listing
• Final payout = sale price minus agreed commission

No hidden fees will apply.

5. Payouts

For consignment:
• Payouts are processed once the item sells and payment clears
• Payment method: bank transfer
• Timeframe: within 3–5 business days

For buy-outs:
• Payment issued upon acceptance of offer

6. Care & Liability

Muse will take reasonable care of your item while in our possession and your items are insured whilst in transit and in our possession.

7. Consignment Period

Items are listed for an agreed period.

If unsold, options include:
• Price adjustment
• Extension
• Return of item

8. Early Withdrawal

You may request early withdrawal before sale.

Please note:
• $99 listing fee will need to be paid before item is returned
• Shipping costs are your responsibility

9. Returns & Disputes

• Buyer returns (if applicable) may affect final payout
• Muse reserves the right to assess disputes case-by-case

10. Legal & Compliance

This agreement is governed by Australian law.
Muse operates in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and Victorian regulations relating to second-hand goods.

11. Confidentiality

All client information, pricing and transactions are treated confidentially.
